Yasemin Köker

Yasemin Köker is an art professional and independent writer originally from Istanbul, Turkey. She completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Art History and History at Lyon University in France.

Between 2021 and 2022, Yasemin served as an artist liaison and gallery assistant at Galeri Nev İstanbul. Following this role, she worked as a programme manager at the Istanbul office of Zilberman Gallery, where she also contributed to the gallery’s publications.

In 2024, she co-curated the group show Now on Display at Zilberman Selected, alongside Ece Ateş. The exhibition explored themes of archive, collection, and institutional critique. In 2022, as a member of the editorial board for the feminist website Çatlak Zemin, she contributed to the project In Time / On Ground for the 17th Istanbul Biennale. This project, coordinated by Merve Elveren and Çağla Özbek, focused on the history of the feminist movement in Turkey, highlighting elements that fall outside traditional archives.

Her writings on art and feminism have been published in Güncel, Çatlak Zemin, 5Harfliler, Kaos GL, and Artam Global.
