Yehbonne Bien’s background lies in philosophy with particular interests in the ethical implications of aesthetics, social ontology of art, possibilities of novelty and question of time and contemporaneity alongside thinkers such as Gilles Deleuze, Henri Bergson and Theodore Adorno amongst others. She has received her BA and is currently completing her MA in philosophy at KU Leuven.

She is interested in investigating into the realm of possibilities of curatorial gestures both theoretically and practically. In particular, her interest lies in the performative aspect of the word ‘curatorial’ as a disruptive embodiment against received knowledge and what it ‘does’ to the existing identificatory machine that relentlessly consumes us.
