Vandenhove Collection
14–15.12.2022
Vandenhove Collection
During two days, the Curatorial Studies participants spend time with a small selection of works from the Vandenhove collection. The group applies different curatorial strategies to come to a proposal that reveals different meanings and qualities in this disparate collection. This excercise is conducted as part of the Graduation course, which prepares the participants to curate an exhibtion at Kunsthal Ghent.
VANDENHOVE is an interfaculty study center in which the Department of Architecture & Urban Planning (FEA) and the Department of Art, Music and Theater Studies (FLW) work together for education and research in the field of architecture and the arts. The central focus is the study of art collections, exhibition history and exhibition architecture. The Vandenhove collection and the university patrimony form the basic material for the preparation and realisation of study exhibitions.
